Patient Notes

Built to specification for a consultant orthopaedic surgeon.

A bespoke application for medical notes, dictation, editable prescription output and patient history. Designed around the clinician’s working routine, with records and repeat visits kept in one place.

The workflow

Medical dictation	Medical speech transcription and LLM-assisted processing support the creation and tidying of clinical notes.
Prescription output	Dictated instructions become editable prescription output, which the clinician can review, amend and print.
Patient continuity	Search includes active and archived records, with notes and visit history available across repeat appointments.

The build

Designed, built and deployed as a custom piece of software for the consultant’s requirements. Speech transcription, note processing and prescription generation are separate parts of the workflow; the clinician retains editable text and control over the final output.
